Why Gen Muhoozi could  Freeze  ‘the Muhoozi- Mwenda  Dialogue’ Podcast Project before 1st Broadcast

By Jako David Waluluka

Barely 48hrs after Geberal Muhoozi Kainerugaba aka MK, officially quitting micro-blogging platform   X,  Veteran Journalist and self promoted ‘old man’ of the media clan, Andrew Mwenda, has announced he will be hosting a Podcast that will be graced by the battle hardened General.

Gen. Muhoozi, whose tweets on the X platform , have been the most anticipated,  in the last decade  , reviewed and shared in Uganda in the recent past, shocked all and sundry,  that he was taking leave of the same to concentrate  on his duties with  Uganda People Defence Forces ( UPDF) which he commands.

The podcast christened ‘The Muhoozi-Mwenda Dialogue’ will according to Mwenda, be premiering on 28th January 2025, on You-tube and has also invited any interested media outlets, that intend to relay the same to bid for rights.

Mwenda, who is a sworn bosom friend of the General, has severally claimed to be part of his inner circle and alleged to be the brain and power behind the tweets of the now   General’s deactivated X account.

Mwenda, who   is also the spoken person of General Muhoozi’s   Patriotic League Of Uganda posted on his X account that;

‘’ Breaking; Yesterday in Fort Portal, the equivalent of the Xi’an ( or Sian) incident happened. The CDF, Gen Muhoozi Kainerugaba,for the good of UPDF, Uganda and the region deactivated his X ( Twitter) account.

For the unschooled in history, please read about the Xi’an incident.

A group of UPDF officers insisted the CDF quit X until the reform and transformation of the army is complete. As a professional soldier, a patriot, a pan Africanist, and a man who loves the UPDF and Uganda above all else, the CDF conceded to the demand.

Henceforth, the CDF is launching a monthly podcast hosted by me to discuss history and current affairs at a strategic level. It will be called the Muhoozi-Mwenda dialogue. The first podcast will be broadcast of You Tube on January 28th. Television Stations can now bid for rights to broadcast it.’’

A group of officers,   not High Command !!  sitting in of all places Fort Portal and  taking on a battle hardened General , over what he recently termed as ‘jokes’ on his X handle , leaves a lot to desire.

One would however, be taken a back by the General’s choice to put himself at the front-line of digital audio files that are available for listening and downloading over the internet.

With the vast availability of such files to anyone including his and Uganda’s enemies  that can be manipulated with the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) one wonders whether it is a safer bet  than the X handle that could easily be managed.

With his quick and astute plot for broadcaster to vie compete for broadcasting rights , what will happen when those that seeking protection or favors from the General as has been the alleged case in the PLU top brass be managed?

Anyone Waking up from this ‘dream’ with a clog in their eyes will blink and wink that Mwenda is just forcing us to exhaust the XI’an (or Sian) incident.
