Ssegirinya’s entry into politics began with phone calls to radio talk shows, where he’d raise concerns and establish himself as the “voice of Kyebando”. His determination and ambition led him to contest for various political positions, including:
- Councillor LC5 for Kawempe North in 2016, which he won as an independent candidate despite being denied a party card by his mother party, FDC.
- Member of Parliament for Kawempe North in 2021 on the National Unity Platform ticket.
