Bunyoro’s Michael Ayeranga Detained Over Alleged Forgery of Presidential Signature in Bwebajja Construction Deal.

Michael Ayeranga, a well-known figure from Bunyoro and former senior presidential advisor for mobilisation, has been arrested for allegedly forging the president’s signature in a major construction deal.

The contract was supposed to give Ambitious Construction Company the rights to build a government campus in Bwebajja, but now the deal is being investigated.

Ayeranga is currently being held by the Chieftaincy of Military Intelligence (CMI) and Special Forces Command (SFC), as authorities look into the case. Meanwhile, his family is demanding his release and claiming that fake documents from State House are behind the accusations.

He first became known as a super-mobiliser and later rose to the position of senior presidential advisor. However, sources in politics say he has been acting as a middleman for some ministers, making this case even more suspicious.

Another construction deal, given to Seyan Brothers, is also under question. It’s rumoured that Prime Minister Robinah Nabbanja directed the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) and Uganda Management Institute (UMI) to work with Seyan Brothers, but this may have been based on a fake order.
