KCCA Cleaners Protest Over Delayed Payments.

Yesterday the 4th of June, Kampala Capital City Authority cleaners stormed the Authority’s hall, in protest over delayed payments.

The cleaners revealed that they have not received their payments where some were saying 5 months and others 8 months.

Away from not getting their salaries, these cleaner also complained of not getting their NSSF arrears yet the authority deducts it every month on their salaries.

The management at the authority said that they were working with the Ministry of Finance to see that their payments are settled with in a short period of time.

Some of the protesters were arrested by police and others even collapsed in the process. This is not the first time these people are putting down their tools in demand for their little pay.
