The Youngest President In Africa Has Been Sworn In Today.

Bassirou Diomaye Faye has been sworn in today as the President of Senegal, an event that was attended by different heads of state in Africa.

On the inauguration, President Faye was escorted by his two wives Marie Khone Faye and Absa Faye who were elegantly dressed for the ceremony that was held in Dakar, the capital of Senegal.

In his first speech as the President of Senegal. Faye said that “Senegal will be a country of hope, and peace, with an independent justice system and a stronger democracy.”

The former tax inspector also promised the people of Senegal to eradicate corruption within government entities and to also create more employment opportunities for the unemployed young people in his country.

Before the recently concluded election, Bassirou was not popular until Ousmane Sonko the leader of the African Patriots Of Senegal For Work, Ethics and Fraternity, endorsed him as his candidate since he (Ousmane Sonko) had been disqualified from the race.

Remember that Faye and his friend Ousmane Sonko, won this election when they had just come out from prison where they had been for almost twelve months.

So it’s not bad to say that ” From Prison To State House”.
