EASTER HOLIDAY: Our Leaders At The Podium.

One thing that amazed me about this years Easter celebrations, was the speeches that some of our leaders gave in the different churches they prayed from.

Hon Joel Ssenyonyi prayed from St. Yusufu Lugalama, Bbuye-Kigoowa Parish, his words concentrated more on his fellow politicians who misuse public resources and their failure to give accountability.

Kyagulanyi prayed from Rubaga Cathedral and he emphasised the need to love each other and to always stick to the truth.

The Commissioner of Parliament Hon. Mathias Mpuuga was at Our Lady of Sorrows Cathedral, Kitovu, Masaka City, and he had no good words for his fellow leaders from the National Unity Platform. In his words, he said that he was working with people who were raised differently from him and in his life he even never knew that he would work with them, but he assured his people that he would continue doing what is right.

The Katikiro of Buganda, Oweek. Charles Peter Mayiga was in Luwero, Kasana Diocese, and his words were on the big number of parliamentary representatives we have as a country, which he said is a burden to our country.

The President of Uganda H.E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni , in his Easter greetings that he shared on his x account, he thanked religious leaders for talking against corruption and how his government has put in place all the necessary mechanisms to fight this vice.

But one thing still lingers in my mind, if all these leaders are talking ill about corruption, then why is it still a big problem to our country?
