Government In Human Trafficking.

As government continues to allow companies and individuals to export people to foreign countries under the guise of employment and acquire certain services like education, the number of Ugandans suffering and some losing their lives at the destinations they are taken, is steadily increasing which has raised concern of the citizenry.

Although the project of getting employment and education is not bad, it has been infiltrated by mafias with some from inside the government who traffic the people well knowing that there no jobs but taking people into slavery or extract from them human organs for sale at exorbitant prices for their benefit.

Due to the increased levels of unemployment in the country, very many Ugandans have fallen in the trap and have ended up in various countries in the world doing all sorts of job from digging graves, looking after the elderly, cleaning toilets, working on farms or in industries and the like, while others end up losing their organs like kidneys, liver and others removed and left to die and others end up being sold in mercenary groups to fight guerrilla warfare against legitimate governments.

One live example, there are a number of Ugandans who were taken to Bangkok, Thailand, for IT jobs but ended up being sold and recruited into rebel groups fighting the legitimate government there.

For those companies and individuals trafficking people for human organ sales and mercenaries, have huge benefits as these are very lucrative.

Most of those who fall victims of human trafficking under the guise of employment and education are mainly energetic youth from the age of 20 to 35 years where guardians are easily duped to let their children go for “greener pastures”.

In one incident, the office of the National Chairman of the ruling NRM party, acted as a link between Ugandan students and some officials in Iran to the effect that they have got scholarships in Iran for them, only to reach there and told to meet their own expenses and even most of the courses they applied for were not available in Iran, leaving the students to suffer.
