WORLD NEWS : A State Of Emergency Has Been Declared In Iceland.

The state authorities in Iceland have declared a state of emergency due to the volcanic eruption in Stora Skogfell and Hagafell in the Reykjanes Peninsula.

Iceland’s met office confirmed that the eruption happened in the same place it had erupted on February – 08 – 2024, but the good thing is that the resident of the town and near by areas had already been evacuated late last year.

As you all might be aware, this country is a Nordic island nation, blessed with a dramatic landscape, volcanoes, geysers, hot springs and lava fields, which attract many tourists into the country.

But news coming in show that even the countries top tourist attraction site, the Blue Lagoon luxury geothermal spa has closed till further notice.

Iceland’s Department of Civil Protection and Emergency Management has said that this might be the largest eruption, even stronger than the one they experienced in 2010.

The good thing is that for now, no confirmed deaths have been registered and the state concerned authorities already have their helicopters up to study and monitor the situation.
