The Time For Transition Is Now: Mao Tells His Boss.

Justice Minister Norbert Mao tells Gen M7 to orchestrate a transition. During the event of the National Symposium on Transition and Justice, Hon Nobert Mao the Justice Minister said time has come for President Museveni to prepare a transition from himself to a new leader for the long term stability of this country.

In his speech, Mao said that President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni does not need to build a new road or commission a new industrial park to show that he cares about Ugandans but what he needs is to preside over a peace transition of power.

“Transitional justice, national dialogue, national reconciliation, [and] constitutional reforms [that] we are talking about, all those are part of that package of surviving power. Winning power seems to me to be easier than surviving power – at least from my reading of history,” Norbert Mao said.
