GO BACK TO SCHOOL : The Hiking Of Scholastic Materials.

Today, most schools have started their academic year of 2024 amidst high prices of scholastic materials, exaggerated school requirements and increased school fees. From books, reams, suit cases, shoes to the grab children / students have to go back to school with.

Most of the parents we talked to complained on these prices, saying it is becoming hard for them to educate their children in this current economy, where prices of commodities are being hiked with no genuine explanation. They said that they have more than 4 children in their households who need to be facilitated to go back to school and they all have different school requirements and fees charges, and yet the government schools where they would be running to, their quality of education is alarming.

The wholesalers and retailers of these scholastic materials are also attributing the increased prices of these commodities to the high taxes that are charged on these items and the high rate charges they pay to the owners of the spaces they operate in.

The School proprietors, in their defence of the increment of school dues, they said that it is very hard to feed children and also pay teachers a motivating salary if they are to continue operating in their previous fees structures.
