Crescent Baguma aka Beenie Gunter has been in Dubai for close to two weeks, where he had gone with his wife for some music shows. News coming in show that Beenie was arrested on Sunday, the day he was supposed to travel back home with his.
Their flight was supposed to be at 1Pm, but he was arrested around midday. His wife managed to board and she is already in Uganda, but Beenie is still detained in an un known place.

The cause of his arrest is said to have derived from a few misunderstandings he had with the music promoters that had hired him, though some sources say that he caused chaos at the venue where he was performing, which caused damage of properties.
Campaigns have started allover social media for his realise, and the Music Federation President Eddy Kenzo has promised to get in touch with the Ugandan Ambassador in UAE to see how Baguma can be helped. We will be sharing more details as they come in.
