Brawl Erupts At Pr. Kayanja’s Land Saga.

A brawl has ensued at Kyengera as the presiding judge in the land saga involving a prominent pastor, Robert Kayanja, visited the said land and tried to prevent Journalists from covering her tour of the said land.

The land situated on block 337 Plot No. 458 in Busiro county, Wakiso district, belonged to the late Balikuddembe Joseph Mukasa of which Pastor Robert Kayanja, claims to have got Letters of Attorney for the Children of the deceased, who are aged between 5’0s and 70 years.

Pastor Kayanja had gone ahead to fence off the land and employed soldiers to guard it.

The family of the deceased had petitioned court complaining Pastor Kayanja’s action of grabbing their land. Kayanja had also summoned the brother of the deceased who is the Administrator of the estate, John Baptist Sserumaga, and warned him to get off the said land.

Surprisingly, the said judge had secretly, without visiting the land, decided the matter in favour of the pastor, which angered the family and challenged her.

The family protest forced the judge to visit the contested land, Thursday April 4 2024, only to be welcomed by angry villagers and family members who accused her of being corrupt and not being fair.

As she toured the land amid rowdy villagers, she became nervous of cameras by Journalists and directed her security guards to chase away journalists. This worsened the situation as villagers became unruly and the tour ended prematurely. The family vowed to continue fighting for their land to the last person.
