TODAY IN HISTORY: TURKISH AIRLINES FLIGHT 158 INVOLVED IN ACCIDENT, 1983.

On 16th /January / 1983, The AFYON AIRCRAFT, Boeing 727-2f2 Was a Turkish airline flight 158 which was departing from Orly Airport, Parish France stopping over at  Istanbul Yeşilköy Airport to Ankara Esenboğa Airport, Turkey.

Landed about 50 metres (160ft) less than the runway upon the arrival at its destination Airport in driving snow , which led broke up and caught fire .

Of the 67 occupants on board , 47 perished, 20 got injured and 20 survived include 2 pilots out of 7 crew members and 60 were passengers.
