Kakamega Mafia’s In Mengo: Confirm Kabaka’s Prolonged Stay in Namibia

Buganda prime minister Charles Peter Mayiga has rebuked politicians who are taking advantage of the Kabaka’s illness to achieve their interests and urged the Kabaka’s subjects to be cautious with them.

With a sense of pride and reassurance, Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga declared that the Kabaka’s spirits remain high, unbroken by the opportunistic manoeuvres of those seeking to exploit his health struggles for personal gain.

Mayiga’s words, uttered during the Kingdom’s budget reading session on June 24, 2024, served as a testament to the resilience and unity of the Baganda people, who have refused to be swayed by the self-serving ambitions of those who would seek to capitalize on the Kabaka’s vulnerability.

With a hint of disdain and a strong sense of protective loyalty, Mayiga scoffed at the notion that the Kabaka, the revered monarch of Buganda, could be manipulated or exploited by opportunistic forces. ‘Do they think our king is some common street urchin, easily swayed or deceived?’ he asked rhetorically, his voice dripping with indignation.

‘Their ultimate goal is to divide and conquer, to turn you against each other, so that they can further their own selfish interests,’ he warned, his words serving as a rallying cry for unity and vigilance among the Baganda people.

Mayiga revealed that certain individuals have been persistently harassing the Kabaka, pressuring him to seek medical attention, only to accuse him of hiding the king when he acquiesces.

With a sense of urgency and concern, Mayiga warned the Kabaka’s loyal subjects to be cautious of these manipulative forces, who seek to treat their beloved monarch like a political pawn, exploiting his health issues for their own gain.

“Be wary of those who would treat our king like a ball to play with, using his health as a tool to further their own interests,” he admonished, his words echoing a clear call to protect the Kabaka’s well-being and dignity.

Mayiga offered a reassuring update on the Kabaka’s condition, revealing that he had spoken to the monarch just a day prior, on Sunday. With a warm smile, he shared that the Kabaka is in good spirits, expressing satisfaction with the able leadership and governance of the kingdom in his absence.

“His Majesty is doing well, and his mind is at ease, knowing that the affairs of the kingdom are in capable hands,” Mayiga said, his words bringing a sense of relief and comfort to the Kabaka’s loyal subjects.

For months, the whereabouts of Kabaka Mwenda Mutebi, the revered monarch of Buganda, have been shrouded in mystery, fueling widespread concern and speculation among his subjects and the general public.

It is believed that the Kabaka is receiving medical attention in Namibia, a foreign land far from the kingdom he rules, as he battles an undisclosed illness that has been plaguing him. The secrecy surrounding his condition and location has only added to the anxiety and unease, with many Ugandans eagerly awaiting news of his recovery and return to the kingdom.

Prominent voices, including National Unity Platform Party president Robert Kyagulanyi, popularly known as Bobi Wine, have joined the chorus of concerned Ugandans demanding answers about the Kabaka’s whereabouts. During his recent NUP mobilization tours, Bobi Wine energized his supporters, emphasizing their right to know the truth about their monarch’s health and location.

“You have the right to demand answers,” he declared, “to know where your king is, and to ensure his well-being.” His words resonated with the crowd, reflecting the widespread sentiment that the Kabaka’s subjects have a legitimate interest in his health and whereabouts.

Buganda Prime Minister Charles Peter Mayiga has made a second contradictory statement regarding the health status of Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, amidst growing demands for transparency from the Balangira Royal clan.

The clan has been seeking answers about the monarch’s whereabouts, and on June 10, 2024, they issued an ultimatum to the Bataka clan heads, demanding an official statement within four days. This development has added to the confusion and concern surrounding the Kabaka’s health, as Mayiga’s inconsistent statements have failed to alleviate the uncertainty.”

In a show of unity and solidarity, Buganda’s top leadership, including Katikkiro Charles Peter Mayiga and the Buganda Clan Council, have reconfirmed their support for Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi’s extended stay in Namibia, where he is receiving medical attention. The monarch’s health journey has been a subject of great concern, and this reaffirmation serves as a testament to the kingdom’s commitment to prioritizing his well-being, with his return to Uganda contingent upon his doctors’ approval.

A statement released today 18th June 2024 after a meeting of Kingdom ministers, the executive of the Clans’ Council and representatives of the royal family which Katikkiro Mayiga hurriedly called, narrated the background since the Kabaka fell sick and the frequency he was taken in Europe for treatment and his doctors’ recommendation to be taken for a Rehab in the isolated treatment centre in Namibia.

A narrative which has no difference than what Katikkiro Mayiga has been telling the concerned Kabaka’s subjects who have persistently been demanding the whereabouts of the Kabaka, his health condition and his immediate transfer from Namibia to health facilities in Europe.

The statement which looked to have been authored by Katikkiro Mayiga for others in the meeting just to give their consent, warned all Kabaka’s subjects against circulating rumours on Kabaka’s health condition asserting that it is only Katikkiro Mayiga to release anything concerning the Kabaka.

The statement which looked to be an answer to a recent demand by the Chief Prince Kikungwe to the Buganda Clan’s Council to inform him about the health condition and whereabouts of the Kabaka and signed by Katikkiro Mayiga, Kabaka’s young brother, David Kintu Wasajja and the Speaker of the Buganda Clans Council, Omut. Namwama Augustine Kizito Mutumba,

concluded by asserting that the Kabaka is not going to return to Buganda until his health improves and on recommendation of his doctors and appealed to all his subjects to pray for him for quick recovery.
