President Museveni has prioritized Connecting Uganda, meeting with Lycamobile investors to explore strategies for enhanced digital access and nationwide connectivity, bridging the digital divide and charting a course for a digital revolution in the country.

Entebbe, Uganda – President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni received a delegation of investors from Lyca Mobile Telephone Company at State House Entebbe on Tuesday, July 2. The investors paid a courtesy visit to the President, discussing potential collaborations and investments in Uganda’s telecommunications sector. During the meeting, President Museveni and the Lyca Mobile team explored opportunities for enhancing digital connectivity and access across the country.

“In a significant move to bolster Uganda’s digital landscape, a high-powered delegation from Lyca Mobile Telephone Company, led by Chairman Subaskaran Allirajah, paid a courtesy visit to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni at State House Entebbe on Tuesday, July 2.

Accompanying Mr. Allirajah were key government officials, including Dr. Chris Baryomunsi, Minister of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) and National Guidance, and Mr. George William Nyombi Thembo, Executive Director of Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).

The meeting centered on exploring strategic partnerships and investments in Uganda’s telecommunications sector, aimed at enhancing digital connectivity and access across the country.
