Crisis in Judiciary.

In an occasion of the official passing out mediators for small cases, deputy chief Justice of Uganda Richard Buteera emphasised the problems facing the Judiciary.

On the ceremony at soroti Justice Richard Buteera says that Uganda Judiciary still lacks effective justice derivery.

“The professional mediators on small cases are also small in numbers as per high numbers of cases in courts of laws allover the country Uganda.

Buteera warns mediators who contrary do their work with conflict of interests.

He says that the Judiciary discovered that there is some mediations conflict with the judicial officials professionalism.

Due to lack of high quality and quick service delivery in judiciary the institution is set to train and ensure high quality mediators purposely to reduce high numbers of cases in Uganda courts of laws.

Deputy chief Justice also pointed on the issue of maintaining high quality lawyers as a task of Judiciary.

“There is still need of high quality Legal practitioners in Uganda”

“I therefore warn mediators to do their work without overtaking the judge’s duties” says deputy chief Justice of Uganda.
